Is the Wax King ideal for children to read?

I got this question the other day. The answer is no. Although the original concept was based on stories I told my son at bedtime, it's a novel for adults and has adult themes. Teens should be OKish. It's actually no worse than primetime drama TV but it's not a children's book. There is, however, one remaining children's story in the novel. Chapter 54. The Tale of Lord Halfbridge is a complete children's story told by the Wax King with interruptions by the other main characters.
